Metallica - Master of Puppets - Downpicked @ 250 BPM - LIVE Guitar Cover
Hey RUclips,
This year is the 35th anniversary of this absolute monster of a record coming out, and this song in particular has always been somewhat of a benchmark/grail of rhythm playing and downpicking technique. Inspired by watching all the old live videos of the guys playing this in the 80's I set out to get through this song at 250bpm - just without any of the cocaine and Jack Daniels (because although I do hate my right hand, I don't hate my liver and nose canal). This is just a two take cover for the rhythms (left and right). I went back in for the solos to get different camera angles, the rest is as live as you can get with one guitarist playing both parts.

Putting GetGood Drums: Invasion ad Neural DSP's Archetype: Plini VSTs through their paces with my brand new Solar A1.6 Artist. Loving these two so far! DAW used was Cubase, not much of a producer/mixer myself so this was just a first go at getting something out there mix-wise. Cheers!

I’m definitely going to have to try this. My question is, when you set up everything routed to different tracks, can you still write drum parts from the drum editor using all drums/cymbals from the library from the same screen?
Yep! You still write everything from one midi roll

@@KrzychoStal One other quick question. Does this help with writing drums in the drum editor and using groove packs on the same track? I can't seem to make this work where I write a few parts and then import a groove pack for one section of a song. It comes in a scrambled midi notes instead of sticking to my drum map and as those small diamond icons on the drum editor. This might be something completely different so please excuse my ignorance with is if it doesn't apply.

This is really weird, but for some reason, when I download the template, the cymbals don't play. Also, I am getting a ton of "MISSING FILES" that I've pointed to the Audio files folder, but it doesnt resolve anything. Any idea? THANKS

Followed this step for step and I'm not getting any audio from Modern & Massive into Cubase. I can see the audio on the Kontakt channel strips, but nothing is going into Cubase from there
Alright I’m having a frustrating issue, once I get into the bus stage, it’s only letting me add 15 busses, also, cheers I’m also from alberta!!
yo for some reason the outputs from 5 on are always mono, no matter what setting i use in kontakt... also the routing is really confusing like the room channel is also on the kick channel xd
I've actually noticed that recently my routing was getting jumbled as well. I'm getting rooms in with a my 3rd rack tom, this is something that hasn't happened before for me. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
@KrzychoStal Hey man! Super helpful video! Did you ever find a fix for this issue? Just installed Cubase 13 and everything seemed to be routed correctly, but everything is coming through my Kick.

Honestly I probably take better care of the bears than the guitar playing. It’s easier though. Just five minutes of boar bristle brushing and some oil a day keeps the homeless look away.
